Together, Rakel and Stine have developed a bodily exploratory practice titled Samling. Samling that grew out of a shared desire to sharpen performative skills and embodied presence, as well as a need for a dedicated dance-artistic workspace and a forum for discussion. The practice centers on extended improvisational sessions, with a focus on dance as a physical craft—emphasizing non-judgmental, non-productive work and a heightened awareness of choices and possibilities within improvisation.
