We will work with an imitation practice which sits at the base of a project I am working on called “P&P”. In P&P, me and dancer Panisara Wanlopbanhan, are looking into what it means to imitate someone and who you become when you do it – it is research into themes of the doubleganger, the lookalike and the other. In the workshop we will mirror each other; switching between who is “leading” and not knowing who is “leading”; switching between being oneself, being someone else, and being other. We will laugh and cry and hold space for the confusions this all might entail.
