Sharing and Artist Talk: Continuations and the archive
With Mang Tri, Jon and Emma
Welcome to an afternoon where we dance and discuss!
Sharing a dance about continuations
What do I continue? How do I continue? And can I just continue? We’ll share a dance that moves through these questions, and perhaps brings up a few more.

A conversation about the archive:
So, what is an archive?
What is a bodily archive? How is it different from an embodied archive? What is a personal archive? A living archive? An archival dance performance? And what about the act of archiving? Is it dance?
We ask a lot of questions. Come hear us try to figure something out, and maybe help us out?

Mang Tri Ray Dewantara, Jon Bugge Mariussen and Emma Dewita Öberg are connected by questions about tradition. Mang Tri Ray and Jon come from two distinct dance traditions - Balinese Kebyar Duduk and Norwegian Halling. And Emma is at a point in her life where she finds herself both at the Sanggar and at Landskappleiken. Together, this trio has been trying to understand the dance between tradition, innovation and just being themselves.
