Throughout our week at Praxis we have explored the body as a single instrument of sound and movement. In our first week of research together on this project, we draw from practitioners that we have been taught by (Jamie McCarthy and Karstein Solli), and those we are inspired by (Pauline Oliveros).

In this sharing we would like to share one of our exercises with you, so expect to take part, and we’d love to hear your reflections.

Parsons and Lothe, both based in Oslo, have been artistic peers since 2014, and collaborate in STICKY Productions (Edginton/Lothe/Olsen/Parsons) since 2020. Both dance artists also have rich and eclectic backgrounds in relation to music, voice and singing: playing instruments, sound making and singing in relation to dance practice, and formal voice training through education and performance productions.
