DESCRIPTION OF THE RESIDENCY

The residency program is open for all professional artists working within contemporary dance. We invite proposals for performance projects or research or artistic practice development.

The residencies include one week (Monday to Friday, from 12:00-17:00) of free workspace in PRAXIS Oslo’s 83sqm studio space at Hausmania, ending with an open sharing on the last day. The sharing can be, for example, a work-in-progress sharing, open rehearsal, demo performance, workshop or talk depending on the format of the project. Fees, accommodation or travel costs are not included in the residency.

In your application, we ask you to describe your project, your artistic interests and motivation as well as which week you would prefer. The project description should also include a proposal for the format of the open sharing and a publicity image.

The planned residency weeks for September to December will be week 38, 41, 48, 50.
