Roza Moshtaghi (Teheran/IRAN) is an Oslo-based choreographer and performer. She works as a freelance artist in collaboration with artists from the fields of dance, sound, technology and visual art. She is curious about how she, buildings, streets, nature, bodies and objects in general react or adapt to structures.
Due to economical constraints, I work mainly alone during the process of concept development. The optimum freedom of loneliness allows me to keep all the balls in the air for a while. This implies that the process is fragile and non-invited thoughts, objects, foods, strategies, friends, etc… takes part in my praxis. Some are only passing by, some stay for a while and a few may remain. Lately, among other things, I have been concerned with images and their magical skill of freezing time and violating the presence of a moment. In Praxis workshop, using choreographic strategies together we will develop a system of interaction between dance and imagery. Roza holds an MA in choreography from Oslo National Academy of the Arts. Her most recent productions are; FLINCH(06 04 17)(2017), THE SMELL OF ITS SHIRT (2016), WATER GRAFFITI (2016) and WHAT ABOUT ME (2015). https://www.rozamoshtaghi.com |
